Across the border in Hove is a FREE wellbeing event 'Being Well in the West' at 10.30am-1pm at St Richards Community Centre, Egmont Road, Hove, BN3 7FP. There will be drop-in physiotherapy appointments on offer, blood pressure monitoring, glucose testing, ear wax removal, support with the NHS App, with lots more information stalls, complimentary therapies and free food and refreshments. Vale Park Spooky Saturday, Drop in at the Scout Hut. 2-4pm. £2 per child. Community pumpkin carving event. Bring your own pumpkin or purchase one from Friends of Vale Park on the day.

Halloween Family Fun Day at Emmaus, Drove Road, BN41 2PA. From 10am - 4pm. There will be plenty going on including a spooky tour of their site, a live Halloween DJ, a scary photo booth and a kids colouring competition in the cafe. Also Halloween decorations, pre-loved costumes and themed sweet treats will be for sale. Just pop along.

Portslade Village Hall Market (Halloween) at Courthope Close, BN41 2LZ. Children in fancy dress  receive a gift. Stalls of lovely gifts and treats for all occasions. Doors open 11am until 2.30pm. Just over the border in the grounds of Hangleton Manor, calling all kids to a Halloween Night and Ghost Hunt. £5 to include a prize- pay for entry on the door. 4.30-6.30pm. Brighton & Hove Mayor to judge scariest costume. Face painting, lucky dip, ghoulish ice cream and spooky glowsticks for sale. Please bring a torch. Surplus proceeds will go to the Brighton & Hove Soiree Rotary Club.
